Graveyard Sentinels

Last month when I went to St. Mary's church in Burlington New Jersey I had a strange feeling that I was being watched. Maybe it was just the crow that kept trying to blend into the church or the squirrels that lept from one headstone to another. Even the iron gate watched me leave. :-)
I can't wait to go back and see what the old and the "new" St. Mary's churches look like inside.

Great photos. Those squirrels are fantastic. :) and the crow looks like the king of the graveyard :)

I love the beautiful and creepy monochrome. You mean that's a real crow? I thought it was just a roof ornament!

Gotta watch that feeling of being "watched." One never knows what the spirit world is up to...

Hey, do you know why they put fences around cemeteries?

No?

People are just dying to get in!

Have a great Sunday!

Oh, I love the creepy goodness of that first photo with the crow watching you. It is so "nevermore"! Aren't old graveyards the best...in the daylight?

This is my main blog.
The first photo is a great intro to this post! I don't know why some work schedule is called the "graveyard shift"! Overall, I love to see the graveyard in the daylight.

Love the squirrels, didn't see the crow, the lion has relatives here.
I hope that over there is easier to peek inside churches to take some photos.
