A day in Newtown

Today Vicki and I both had banana pancakes at Pat's Colonial Kitchen (yum!). Then we got library cards and off to the farmer's market where we picked up lunch and dinner. After a very good BBQ pork sandwich and side of sweet potatoes, I took a long walk in Tyler State Park. It's really great being in the woods. There are so many birds it's like a wild symphony. I almost got lost a few times but managed to find my way out. Oh I also saw a woodpecker for the first time. Today was really hot but in the winter the park has cross country skiing, ice skating and sledding. Now we just finished the Farmer's market burritos and it's time to walk to the downtown area.
-After breakfast I saw this old tired dog and had to take his picture, he remind me of a sea lion.

Dear James,
It seems you're having a good time "discovering" the whereabouts of the location you live now. We're happy for you! How are the cats adapting?

Posting a picture of your town daily really opens or reopens (in my case) your eyes to your community and all it has to offer. Thank you for visiting Quincy today. You wrote about 2 of my favorite things today: library card and farmers' market. Keep up the great work as you discover your community.

Hi Cezar,Léia Thanks. It is really nice we feel very blessed. The cats didn't like traveling here but they seem very happy now.

Hi Slim nice to see you at the Newtown daily photo. Thanks for the nice comments.

Your rich country is gifted with awesome nature. The beautiful pictures say it all. I like the birds and the wild symphony ... which is even happening right here in my own yard both front and back. They sound so melodious.

Okay James, I wonder if you have visited this yet? Please go and have a look. Share it with Vicki if you like.

Those woods look eerily similar to where I walk in the summer! Hmmm!

I have a little something for you on my blog. Come and get it. It's just a little old award for Honest Scrap!
